Tesco recently unveiled 270 new and enhanced products as part of its most significant frozen range update since 2018. The supermarket has refreshed its assortment of brands, offering shoppers access to products from well-known names such as Greggs, Crosta Mollica, Zizzi, White Rabbit, Kitchen Joy, and Itsu, as well as introducing new labels like Street Snacks and Craft Pizza.
In addition to collaborating with external brands, Tesco has also revamped its own-brand frozen selection, now providing air-fryer instructions for fans of this popular appliance. Furthermore, the retailer has expanded its Finest frozen range with a variety of new items including pizzas, pies, poultry, fish, meat, and desserts.
For early holiday shoppers, Tesco has brought in favorites like Finest Beef Wellington, Finest Pigs in Blankets, Finest Potato Dauphinoise, and Finest White Chocolate, Mascarpone, Raspberry, and Blueberry Cheesecake.
Tesco has made significant improvements by enhancing over 50 products with new recipes and updated packaging. Across the categories of meat, fish, and poultry, Tesco has introduced 17 new products and enhanced seven existing favorites.
Research conducted by Tesco reveals that a third of consumers enjoy frozen food at least twice a week.
Tesco Frozen Category Director, Naomi Kasolowsky, expressed excitement about the extensive transformation in the frozen aisle, introducing over 270 new and improved products. Kasolowsky highlighted the quality, convenience, and value of frozen food, anticipating that customers will appreciate the forthcoming changes this autumn.
Following this update, Tesco adjusted the pricing of its meal deal, increasing the cost for Clubcard members from £3.60 to £3.85. Non-Clubcard members now pay £4.25 for the same offer. The most popular items in the meal deal include the Tesco Chicken Club Sandwich, Tesco Egg Protein Pot, and Coca-Cola 500ml.
Clubcard members can save £2.65 on these items when purchased separately, as they now cost £6.50 in total. The premium Tesco meal deal price has been raised from £5 to £5.50 for Clubcard holders and from £5.50 to £6 for non-members.
This marks the third price increase for Clubcard members and the fourth for non-Clubcard holders. Tesco plans to introduce new products to its premium meal deal in the near future.
