The most recent update for Assassin’s Creed Shadows has been released, introducing a surprise crossover and additional content for players within the AC universe.
Update 1.1.6 of Assassin’s Creed Shadows is now accessible on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC platforms. It includes new story DLC and improved gameplay elements.
In addition to the new Puzzlement story DLC, the update presents players with a special limited-time quest in collaboration with Attack on Titan.
The Attack on Titan crossover mission, featuring a colossal Titan-Shifter, is available exclusively from November 25 to December 22. Players have a brief window to complete the quest, according to All Out Gaming reports.
The quest became available after the deployment of update 1.1.6 at 2pm GMT UK time. Players must download the update before engaging in the mission.
To access the quest, players need to travel to the Yamashiro region, located north of Hanazo Tower.
Before undertaking the quest, players must unlock Yasuke as a playable character. The quest will not appear on the objective board until players interact with the quest giver.
The official description states, “With a kidnapped Titan-Shifter as their weapon, a mysterious, power-hungry faction has infiltrated feudal Japan, aiming for total domination.”
“However, when the attempt to rescue the Shifter fails, the sole survivor (with a dark secret) enlists Naoe and Yasuke to help thwart the group from unleashing the terror of a Titan on Japan.”
The crossover also introduces additional features. Players engaged in the quest can find customization options for their hideout, such as banners and a statue.
Upon successful completion of the quest, players will receive a crystal katana for Naoe. Apart from the free in-game mission, enthusiasts have the option to purchase an Attack on Titan Dual Pack from the in-game store.
This pack offers outfits, weapons, trinkets, and a new mount for players.
