The incident occurred in December 2022 at Dunsfold Park Aerodrome in Surrey when the former cricketer was driving a three-wheeled open-topped car at a speed of 130mph. The vehicle flipped, causing severe facial and rib injuries as it slid along the track.
In a snippet from his autobiography ‘Coming Home: The Moments that Made Me’ in The Times, Flintoff shared how his background as an elite cricket player influenced his quick thinking during the traumatic event.
