A tragic road accident claimed the lives of a father and his infant daughter, while the mother and young son are currently in critical condition. The family of four had recently relocated from North Wales to Poland and was traveling together when their vehicle collided with a tree near the city of Olsztyn on Thursday morning.
The deceased father, Krzysztof, aged 30, and his daughter Natalka lost their lives in the crash. The family, known to have resided in Connah’s Quay, Flintshire, Wales, was involved in the tragic incident shortly after their return to Poland.
Reports from the Polish Integration Support Centre (PISC) in Wrexham, represented by Anna Buckley, confirmed the unfortunate event. The mother, Justyna, aged 29, and the three-year-old son are currently fighting for their lives in Poland.
An online fundraiser has been initiated by a Polish support group to assist with the funeral expenses for the deceased young girl. The fundraiser has already raised over £1,000 to support the family during this difficult time.
Buckley shared that the PISC had recently helped the family with necessary formalities, passports, and transportation back to Poland from the UK. She emphasized the need for financial and emotional support for the surviving family members and requested prayers for their recovery.
In her capacity as the Director of the Polish Integration Support Centre (PISC) in the UK, Buckley assisted in facilitating the family’s return to Poland. She mentioned the challenges faced by the mother, Justyna, in obtaining travel documents for her two-month-old daughter, Natalka, and expressed gratitude to a volunteer who accompanied the family on their journey.
The devastating news of the fatal accident involving the family was relayed to Buckley, underscoring the immense tragedy. She emphasized the importance of supporting the grandfather in laying his granddaughter to rest by contributing to the funeral expenses.
