With the holiday season quickly approaching, both in the physical world and the digital realm, Apex Legends is gearing up for its upcoming Merry Mayhem event. This event promises a multitude of festive modifications to the Battle Royale’s Wildcard mode, ensuring an exciting experience for players.
Scheduled to commence on December 16 and extend until January 6, the Merry Mayhem event in Apex Legends is eagerly awaited by the gaming community.
Players can anticipate the event to begin at approximately 6pm GMT UK time, allowing them to dive into the festivities once they’ve updated the game.
The Wildcard mode is the focal point of the event, with the Olympus map receiving a winter-themed transformation. A large snowglobe now encases a portion of the map, covering it in snow and adorning it with holiday decorations.
Among the festive decorations are EVO orbs cleverly disguised to offer players utility in addition to aesthetic appeal.
Introducing a new feature, guarded airdrops are set to make their debut during the event, accompanied by AI Spectre bots. Players who successfully navigate their way to these loot drops can secure powerful Mythic weapons from past seasons, presenting a high-risk, high-reward scenario.
