McDonald’s in the UK has introduced a range of eight new international items to its menu for the first time. The offerings include burgers from Canada and Australia, McNuggets and beverages from Japan, sides from Poland and the United Arab Emirates, as well as desserts from Malaysia and Indonesia.
Launching today and available for six weeks, the new menu features unique items such as the Maple BBQ and Bacon Double Quarter Pounder from Canada, containing two quarter pounder beef patties with maple BBQ sauce, bacon, cheese, crispy onions, and pickles. Additionally, the Pineapple McSpicy from Australia features a spicy chicken burger topped with pineapple, bacon, cheese, and lettuce.
Japanese influences can be seen in the Garlic and Black Pepper McNuggets, made of 100% chicken breast meat in a crispy coating with garlic, black pepper, and served with a garlic and soy mayo dip. Poland brings a twist with the Sour Cream and Black Pepper McShaker Fries, which are regular McDonald’s fries with a sachet of seasoning to shake and coat the fries.
From the United Arab Emirates, the menu includes Mac and Cheese Triangles, which are macaroni pasta triangles in a cheddar cheese sauce with a crispy breadcrumb coating served with tomato ketchup dip. For dessert, customers can enjoy the Choco Caramel Pie from Indonesia, a chocolatey treat with molten caramel and chocolate ganache.
Malaysia offers two new McFlurries – Chocolate or Caramel Pretzel McFlurry, featuring creamy soft serve swirled with pretzel pieces and either a chocolate or caramel sauce. To complement the meal, the Sakura x Sprite drink from Japan is described as a floral and fizzy refreshment.
