“Trump’s Prolonged Handshake with UK Foreign Secretary Sparks Controversy”

-

Upon arrival at Stansted airport for his second state visit to the UK, Donald Trump exchanged a prolonged handshake with Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper.

The interaction lasted about 11 seconds as they conversed after Trump disembarked from Air Force One. Subsequently, he was taken to Winfield House, the residence of the US Ambassador, where he will be staying overnight.

Yvette Cooper had previously criticized President Trump for his perceived “aggressive misogyny” and “appalling behavior.” In various statements, she expressed concerns about Trump normalizing hatred and deemed his actions irresponsible and dangerous.

As Trump arrived for his momentous second state visit to the UK, Prime Minister Keir Starmer aimed to orchestrate a significant event for the visiting president.

During the visit, efforts may be made to sway Trump towards a more pro-Ukrainian stance in the conflict and negotiate a deal to reduce trade barriers for British goods entering the US market.

Trump is scheduled to head to Wingfield House, the US Ambassador’s residence in Regent’s Park, London, upon his arrival. Subsequently, he will be honored with a royal salute at Windsor on Wednesday morning followed by a carriage procession through the Windsor estate.

Accompanied by King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William, and Princess Catherine, Trump’s route will be lined with members of the armed forces.
