This year, I’ve opted to start decorating for Christmas earlier than usual. It’s not uncommon for individuals to face criticism when sharing their early decorations on social media. However, in the realm of social networking, it’s clear that you can’t please everyone, so prioritizing your own enjoyment is key!
The rationale behind my decision this year is that both my partner’s and my birthdays fall close to Christmas, leaving little time to relish the festive decor if we wait until December. The decorations are a sight to behold, and it would be a shame not to maximize their beauty.
Amidst the current negative news cycle, I firmly believe that embracing the joy brought by Christmas decorations, no matter how small, is worthwhile. It’s a harmless and uplifting act that can bring happiness, especially during these challenging times.
Despite any mockeries, adorning your home with Christmas decorations is a delightful experience. Pairing this with a glass of mulled wine or a cozy hot chocolate can enhance the festive spirit. Dancing to Christmas tunes and unwinding at home can be a simple yet fulfilling way to boost your mood.
As Christmas advertising ramps up and markets come alive, the impending arrival of December 25 becomes undeniable. Embracing the festive season by decorating early can evoke warm and nostalgic feelings, especially when unpacking cherished decorations collected over the years.
From holiday baubles to handmade ornaments from friends, each decoration holds sentimental value. Don’t forget those special Jellycat ornaments that add a personal touch to the tree. Additionally, acquiring a fresh wreath from a festive makers market can set a trend in the neighborhood and uplift spirits.
If you’re feeling a bit like Scrooge, consider indulging in some holiday cheer by decking the halls. Crank up the Christmas music by Michael Buble, Mariah Carey, or Kelly Clarkson, and let the magic of the season envelop you. It’s a mood-lifting experience that you’re sure to enjoy!
