FromSoftware, the creators of Dark Souls, have revealed their plans to temporarily shut down the servers for both Elden Ring games for maintenance purposes. Both Elden Ring and Elden Ring Nightreign will be taken offline for over two hours.
The maintenance will solely affect the Steam platform, with no new content additions planned by FromSoftware during this period. The server maintenance for the Steam versions of Elden Ring and its multiplayer version, Nightreign, is scheduled for January 20. The games will be offline for 2.5 hours starting at 9 am GMT UK time, equivalent to 1 am PDT / 4 am EDT in the US, and 10 am CET in Europe.
Following the maintenance, the Elden Ring games are expected to be back online at 11:30 am GMT for UK players, 3:30 am PDT / 6:30 am EDT for the US audience, and 12:30 pm CET for European gamers. FromSoftware made the announcement on X, confirming that no new content will be introduced during this maintenance window.
“The Elden Ring and Elden Ring Nightreign Steam servers will undergo maintenance on Tuesday, January 20. This maintenance period will not include any additional content and is scheduled to last for 2.5 hours. We appreciate your understanding and patience during this time.”
