Nintendo’s latest console is gearing up to welcome Final Fantasy in just a few days. Fans eagerly awaiting the iconic Square Enix title on the new platform should be prepared as the upcoming Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is expected to occupy a significant portion of the system’s storage capacity.

Scheduled for release on Thursday, January 22, the game will debut on the Nintendo Switch 2 and Xbox Series X/S simultaneously. Gamers looking to dive into the action immediately have discovered that the title will consume a considerable amount of storage space.

A Reddit user shared a screenshot revealing that Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade will require a hefty 90.3GB of storage. With the Switch 2 providing 250GB of internal memory, players will need to allocate around 230GB for game and media storage after accounting for system usage. Considering this large file size, acquiring an additional SD card may be necessary for those running low on storage space.

Comments on the Reddit post reflected users’ concerns about the game’s size, with some expressing the need to purchase an SD card due to the storage requirements. While the game’s size is substantial, it falls short of the space demanded by the Xbox Series X/S, which requires around 110GB for pre-loading. In comparison, the PS5 version at release was approximately 90GB.

As gaming technology advances, storage space becomes a crucial factor for players, prompting some to consider investing in additional storage solutions to accommodate the growing file sizes of modern games.
