“Dolly Parton’s Sister Praises Her Generosity”

-

Dolly Parton, known for her extensive philanthropic efforts, received a heartfelt tribute from her sister that highlighted the deep-rooted spirit of generosity within her. Stella Parton shared on Instagram how she and Dolly used to have early morning phone calls every Tuesday over coffee.

In one of their last conversations, Dolly expressed her willingness to undergo experimental medical treatments even if there was little hope for her own recovery, with the intention of aiding future patients. While CBC News sought confirmation from Dolly Parton’s publicist regarding these treatments, no response has been provided.

Although details on Dolly’s medical treatments remain unconfirmed, her significant contribution to COVID-19 research is well-documented. In November 2020, she donated $1 million to Nashville’s Vanderbilt University Medical Center, part of which supported the development of the Moderna mRNA coronavirus vaccine.

Dolly made headlines when she received her first vaccine dose on camera, playfully singing modified lyrics to her song “Jolene.” Dr. Naji Abumrad, whom Dolly first met at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 2013, administered the vaccine. Their bond, which began after Dolly’s minor car accident, endured until her final moments as described by Jad Abumrad, creator of the podcast “Dolly Parton’s America.”

Stella Parton expressed her admiration for her sister’s genuine generosity, emphasizing Dolly’s positive impact on the world. She urged others to follow Dolly’s example of kindness and compassion.
