Amazon has recently unveiled a range of new products that outshine its older devices, prompting owners of Echo, Fire TV Stick, or Kindle to consider an upgrade. The announcement was made during an event in New York, with the new devices set to be available on Amazon’s store soon.
Among the highlights are four new Echo speakers, including the Echo Dot Max and an updated Echo Studio. These redesigned ball-shaped speakers not only boast a new look but also offer enhanced smart features and improved sound quality. Amazon claims that the Echo Dot Max delivers nearly three times the bass compared to the Echo Dot (5th gen), while the Echo Studio, now 40% smaller, promises top-tier sound in its compact size.
For those interested in devices with screens, Amazon introduced two new Echo Show speakers – the Show 8 and Show 11. These models come with upgraded displays that provide a superior viewing experience with ambient visuals that adjust to the surroundings. Additionally, they feature a new audio architecture, front-facing stereo speakers, and a custom woofer for immersive spatial audio.
Beyond the Echo line, Amazon unveiled the Scribe Colorsoft, a new Kindle model. Similar to the existing Scribe range, this Kindle offers a stylus for screen annotations. However, the Scribe Colorsoft stands out with an 11-inch color display, making it ideal for reading comics and for creative endeavors. The device boasts an ultra-thin, lightweight design, textured glass screen, backlight for night use, a faster processor, and extended battery life despite the color screen.
Amazon’s latest Fire TV Stick, the 4K Select, enhances the viewing experience with improved 4K visuals at a more budget-friendly price compared to its Ultra HD counterparts. The event also introduced new Fire TV screens and an update to the Ring Doorbell, now equipped with 4K recording capabilities.
