In London ahead of the festive season, a special display created with Apple’s iPad is lighting up the iconic Battersea Power Station. 24 vibrant designs, chosen from numerous entries in Apple’s “Your Tree on Battersea” competition, are being showcased on the towering chimneys of the historic building that Apple also calls its UK home.

Varsha Simha, from Canterbury, expressed her excitement at being selected in the competition, drawing inspiration from the cozy Christmas market atmosphere during the cold months. Additionally, 7-year-old winner Miah D.B shared her joy in using her iPad to create her tree design, inspired by emotions.

The competition features contributions not only from the public but also from prominent figures like Kylie Minogue, Sir Stephen Fry, and others. This event continues Apple’s tradition of promoting festive creativity and marks the first time the company has involved the public in such an initiative.

Previously, in 2023, artist David Hockney showcased “Bigger Christmas Trees on iPad Pro,” and Aardman, the creator of Wallace & Gromit, utilized the iPhone 16 Pro Max for a short animation last year. Chawawa, reflecting on the significance of hosting Apple’s inaugural iPad Christmas tree competition, emphasized the community-driven aspect of creating digital trees on iPads.

The dazzling images will illuminate Battersea until Christmas Eve, spreading holiday cheer across the city.
