As the holiday season nears, many individuals are reaching for a Terry’s Chocolate Orange to enjoy. This year, fans of the traditional treat have the opportunity to taste something unique – a Terry’s Chocolate Orange Baileys flavor.
The newly released limited edition Baileys x Terry’s Chocolate Orange Irish Cream Liqueur, priced at £11 and available both online and in stores nationwide, combines the smoothness of Baileys Original Irish Cream with the distinctive chocolate and citrusy orange flavors of Terry’s. To determine if this new concoction lives up to the hype, I personally sampled a bottle ahead of the festive season.
While some prefer to savor Baileys on the rocks, I find delight in creating cocktails with it, even if it’s just mixed with milk. To fully experience the flavor profile, I tasted the Terry’s chocolate variant both with milk and on its own, noticing its surprisingly light color akin to the original Baileys.
Upon sampling, the zesty orange notes were evident, although I craved a stronger presence of chocolate undertones, likely due to my penchant for chocolate. For those seeking a more pronounced chocolate taste, mixing it with chocolate milk could be a worthwhile experiment.
Despite my desire for a richer chocolate experience, I found the product enjoyable and believe it would make a delightful Christmas gift for a loved one or friend. Additionally, keeping a bottle on hand for sophisticated after-dinner cocktails during the festive season, complemented with whipped cream and chocolate shavings, could elevate the experience.
Fans online have expressed enthusiasm for the flavor since its announcement on the official Baileys Instagram page in September. Comments ranged from “Oh my God, I need this” to “so good” and “Can not get over this.”
While I may not be ready to part ways with my beloved Terry’s Chocolate Orange just yet, I am certainly eager to savor a glass of the new Baileys iteration alongside it.
