A recent enhancement has been rolled out to all Freeview users, offering them access to a new channel that was previously exclusive to premium TV services like Sky and Virgin Media. TLC, known for popular reality shows such as Dr Pimple Popper and Say Yes To The Dress, has now expanded its content library to include sitcoms and blockbuster movies.
With this update, Freeview viewers can enjoy a variety of shows like The Big Bang Theory, Mock the Week, and Young Sheldon, along with blockbuster films like Transformers and Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. Freeview has made TLC available on channel 12, although some households may need to retune their devices to access it.
In addition to TLC, the update will result in some channel reshuffling. Quest will shift from Ch12 to Ch17 to accommodate TLC, while Really will move from Ch17 to Ch44. However, there is also some disappointing news as Freeview has confirmed the closure of HGTV, leading to the removal of programs like My Lottery Dream Home, Celebrity IOU, and Building Alaska from the platform, along with other channels such as God TV and India Today.
