Jena Sims Reveals Heartbreaking Loss of Unborn Child

-

Jena Sims, the spouse of renowned LIV Golf champion and five-time major victor Brooks Koepka, has revealed the heartbreaking news of the loss of their unborn child. Sims, aged 36, made an announcement on Instagram on Monday, disclosing that she had reached 16 weeks of pregnancy when her baby’s heart ceased beating.

This tragedy has deeply affected both Jena and her partner, Brooks, who remain hopeful of expanding their family in the future while raising awareness about the challenges faced by women and couples dealing with pregnancy loss.

“In our 16th week, we discovered the tragic news that our baby’s heart had stopped beating,” shared Sims. “This is an immense sorrow no parent can anticipate. Despite our devastation, we hold onto hope for Crew to have a sibling someday.”

Sims emphasized the need for more understanding and support for women’s reproductive health, stressing the importance of breaking the silence surrounding pregnancy loss and infertility struggles.

For those undergoing or who have experienced pregnancy loss or infertility, Sims reassured, “You are not alone.” Additionally, she expressed gratitude towards healthcare professionals who handle such heart-wrenching situations daily.

Acknowledging the overwhelming response to her post, which garnered over 20,000 likes and 800 comments within the initial 19 hours, notable figures like reporter Amanda Balionis and influencer Paige Spiranac expressed their support.

An actress and model, Sims first crossed paths with Brooks at the 2015 Masters before they exchanged vows in 2022 and welcomed their son, Crew, in 2023. Praising her husband as an exceptional father, Sims recounted the challenges they faced when Crew was born prematurely in 2023, requiring extended medical care, including wearing a helmet to address congenital torticollis.

Reflecting on the impact of fatherhood, Koepka shared, “Having a son has altered my perspective on life, not just golf. While golf was once my sole focus, Crew’s presence has shifted my outlook.”

In the current LIV Golf season, Koepka achieved two top-10 finishes, notably securing a second-place position in Singapore. However, his performance in major tournaments varied, with three missed cuts and a T12 finish in the US Open. Most recently, Koepka concluded the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in Scotland with a T15 result.

Sky has recently discounted its Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle for the upcoming 2025/26 season, offering savings of £192 and access to over 1,400 live matches across the Premier League, EFL, and more. The network plans to broadcast a minimum of 215 live Premier League games next season, a significant increase from the previous year.
