“Kylie Kelce Opens Up About Miscarriage Trauma”

-

Taylor Swift’s future sister-in-law, Kylie Kelce, has bravely shared her experience of a miscarriage that occurred on her husband Jason’s birthday. Kylie revealed that before the birth of her eldest child, Wyatt, she received a positive pregnancy test result in August 2018, and everything appeared normal following a visit to her doctor.

While in London with Jason during an Eagles’ game, Kylie disclosed their pregnancy news to friends and family. At the time, she was supposed to be 12 weeks pregnant. However, upon returning and visiting her doctor, she learned about a “missed miscarriage.”

Speaking on the Not Gonna Lie podcast, Kylie recounted the heartbreaking moment when they couldn’t detect a heartbeat during an appointment. The doctor determined that the baby had stopped developing around nine to 10 weeks, leading to a missed miscarriage.

The emotional revelation took place on Jason’s birthday, adding to the already difficult situation. Despite the loss, Kylie and Jason now have a growing family with daughters Wyatt, Elliotte, Bennett, and Finn. However, the miscarriage had a lasting impact on Kylie, affecting her mental state during subsequent pregnancies.

Due to the trauma, Kylie delayed sharing her pregnancy with Wyatt until reaching the 20-week mark and followed a similar pattern in later pregnancies. She admitted to constantly researching the survival odds for the baby, particularly with Finn.

Kylie and Jason’s relationship began in 2013 through a dating app while they were both students at Cabrini University in Pennsylvania. Jason’s retirement from the NFL after 13 seasons emphasized his commitment to family, stating that being a present and loving father was a significant priority for him.

The couple’s journey through loss and resilience serves as a reminder of the challenges many face in starting a family. If you have been impacted by similar experiences, support is available through organizations like the Miscarriage Association.
