A young boy vacationing in Mexico had an unexpected encounter when he sensed movement in his ear and discovered a live crab had taken up residence inside.
The incident, which quickly gained attention online, serves as a peculiar reminder to exercise caution while relaxing at the beach. The boy, named Pedro and the son of influencer Kitzia Mitre, was enjoying a beach day when he started feeling discomfort.
Upon noticing something moving in his ear, Pedro’s mother became alarmed and sought immediate medical assistance. At a local health facility, medical professionals used tweezers to extract a small green crab that had made its way into Pedro’s ear. Despite missing a leg, the crab was still alive and attempted to scuttle away post-removal.
Video footage of the incident shared by Kitzia Mitre on social media quickly went viral, garnering millions of views. In the video, Pedro, visibly distressed and sandy from the beach, is comforted by medical staff as they carefully remove the crab. Kitzia Mitre mentioned that the experience had triggered a new fear in Pedro.
Throughout the extraction process, Pedro cried and held onto his mother. While the crab removal seemed to have been successful without causing lasting harm, ensuring Pedro’s safety and hearing remained paramount.
Kitzia confirmed that they promptly sought medical attention to prevent infection or damage to Pedro’s eardrum. She emphasized prioritizing Pedro’s well-being over the creature’s presence.
