Police in Windsor stopped an advertisement van featuring a picture of Donald Trump alongside infamous sex offender Jeffrey Epstein during the US President’s state visit. The group Everyone Hates Elon, responsible for the van, claimed that Thames Valley Police seized the vehicle, but the police clarified that it was halted for a potential traffic violation.
Activists from the group aimed to highlight Trump’s association with Epstein by displaying the photo outside Windsor Castle and driving the van around the area. According to a spokesperson for Everyone Hates Elon, they oppose the influence of wealthy individuals like Elon Musk and Trump in the UK, emphasizing Trump’s troubling ties to Epstein.
Thames Valley Police explained that they intervened to prevent a breach of traffic laws and denied confiscating the van. They stated that the enhanced security measures during the state visit were crucial for public safety.
Furthermore, police had arrested four activists for projecting the image onto Windsor Castle. Trump’s visit coincided with the dismissal of the US Ambassador over revelations regarding his relationship with Epstein. Despite persistent speculation and allegations, Trump has repeatedly denied a close friendship with Epstein and involvement in any cover-up.
The White House refuted claims linking Trump to a suggestive note in Epstein’s possession, asserting that he neither drew nor signed it. Trump’s past comments about Epstein have resurfaced, including remarks praising Epstein’s social life in an interview.
