Interested buyers attempting to purchase Sky Q will be directed to opt for the cheaper Stream box, emphasizing the option to elevate their viewing experience with Sky Stream starting at £15 per month.
The shift is driven by the rise of internet-based content delivery systems like Sky Stream and Sky Glass, which offer live and on-demand programming without relying on satellite signals. These options are user-friendly, eliminating the need for professional installation services and ongoing hardware upgrades. Moreover, Sky Stream is notably more affordable than Sky Q, with packages starting at a competitive £15 per month.
The move away from Sky Q aligns with the company’s strategic focus on streaming services, as newer customers increasingly prefer digital streaming solutions over traditional set-top boxes.
