To enhance the festive spirit, WhatsApp has introduced several new features just in time for the celebrations. The latest update includes a 2026 sticker pack, video call effects such as fireworks and confetti animations, animated confetti reactions, and the introduction of animated stickers for Status updates.
In addition to these enhancements, the Meta-owned service is offering advice for users engaging with the app on New Year’s Eve. WhatsApp suggests creating events, using polls for decision-making, sharing live locations for party navigation and safety, and sending video and voice notes to capture and share moments with absent friends.
