Apple has unveiled the iPhone 17e, offering significant enhancements at a competitive price point. Priced at £599, the device boasts a speedy A19 processor, MagSafe charging, durable construction, and an impressive single-lens camera. In comparison, this cost is £200 lower than Apple’s flagship iPhone model.
Samsung has also introduced new budget-friendly options with the launch of the A57 and A37, starting at £399. While these models may not match the performance or charging capabilities of the iPhone 17e, they do feature a 6.7-inch screen with 120Hz technology, providing smoother navigation and gameplay compared to the 60Hz display on the 17e.
The Galaxy phones from Samsung come equipped with a range of features such as 5,000mAh batteries, triple lens cameras, and P68 water and dust resistance. Additionally, Samsung has integrated advanced AI features into the A37 and A57, including Google’s Circle to Search for quick web searches and enhanced photo editing tools like Object Eraser and Edit Suggestions.
Moreover, the phones offer improved Voice Transcription within the Voice Recorder app, enabling users to transcribe call recordings and convert voicemail audio into text for easier reference. Samsung has committed to providing long-term support for the A57 5G and A37 5G, promising up to six generations of Android OS updates and security patches over six years.
Both models will be available for purchase on Samsung.com starting April 10th, with the Galaxy A57 5G priced from £529 and the Galaxy A37 5G starting at £399. The Galaxy A57 5G will be offered in Awesome Navy, Awesome Grey, Awesome Icyblue, and Awesome Lilac colors, while the Galaxy A37 5G will come in Awesome Lavender, Awesome Charcoal, Awesome Greygreen, and Awesome White hues.
Annika Bizon, VP of Product and Marketing at Samsung Mobile Experience Division, emphasized the importance of democratizing AI technology with the Galaxy A57 5G and A37 5G, highlighting their performance and AI capabilities.
