Sky is set to merge Sky Cinema Animation with Sky Cinema Family, consolidating the services into a single channel starting April 30. The move aims to streamline the viewing experience, offering a central hub for family-friendly films on channel 304. Viewers can expect popular titles like the Shrek series, The Secret Life of Pets, and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse all in one place.

While the standalone Sky Cinema Animation channel will no longer be available, it will make a temporary return during school holidays to entertain kids. The channel will be accessible from July 24 to August 30, October 23 to November 1, and December 1 to January 5.

In other news, Sky has ventured into the home security market by introducing new smart devices. Customers can opt for the Sky Smart Doorbell and Chime for £5 per month with a £15 upfront cost, featuring features like full HD video recording and two-way audio. Additionally, Sky offers a Smart Home Bundle with Smart Home Plan+ for £8 monthly and a £20 upfront fee, providing an indoor camera and enhanced app controls.

Paul Sweeney, Managing Director of Sky Smart Home, emphasized the company’s commitment to making premium smart technology accessible and user-friendly, focusing on essential features while maintaining affordability.
