Betty’s acting career spanned over four decades, during which she appeared in various notable shows such as Alfred Hitchcock Presents, The Twilight Zone, and The Big Valley. She was best known for portraying Hilda Gunnerson in the ABC soap opera Dynasty and later reprised her role in Dynasty: The Reunion in 1991.
In addition to her work on Dynasty, Betty also starred in The Paper Chase as Mrs. Nottingham and had roles in films like The Wild and the Innocent and The China Syndrome. She notably played Natalie Wood’s older sister in the 1965 drama Inside Daisy Cooper.
Born on January 28, 1927, in New York, Betty began her acting career in her 20s, appearing in radio shows before transitioning to television and movies. She was married to sculptor Oliver Andrews and later to Hungarian actor Alex de Naszody. Betty is survived by her son, Chris, and grandchildren.
