Drake delighted his fans with a variety of new tracks in his highly anticipated “not so short film” released on Tuesday night. Previewed on Instagram the week prior, the film, titled “Fear of Missing Out (FOMO)”, ran for about an hour and was streamed on YouTube, Spotify, and Apple platforms. It showcased Drake’s summer adventures and extravagant lifestyle, featuring scenes of him dancing in his lavish Toronto mansion, spending time with his mother and her friends, and cruising on his lime-green luxury speedboat against the Toronto skyline.

The video was rich with Toronto and Canada references, including a scene with Drake and fellow rapper Loe Shimmy in $150,000 Iron Man suits at the Canadian National Exhibition. It also boasted a star-studded lineup with appearances from various celebrities such as SexyyRed, Stunna Sandy, Winnie Harlow, Kevin Durant, Lena the Plug, and more. Additionally, the film introduced new music, including unreleased collaborations with artists like Don Toliver, PartyNextDoor, and Yeat, along with nine fresh tracks, including Drake’s much-awaited remix of Ella Langley’s hit song “Choosin’ Texas.”

During the Toronto premiere of “FOMO,” Drake revealed plans for a 2027 world tour, exciting his fans. However, those who missed the livestream were disappointed as Drake made the film private on YouTube shortly after its debut. Online reactions varied, with some users expressing disappointment in the film while others praised it for symbolizing Drake’s longevity and consistency in the music industry.

Jamaican artist Spice congratulated Drake on Instagram, acknowledging his hard work and dedication to “FOMO.” Drake, whose real name is Aubrey Graham, had teased the film’s release through social media posts hinting at the project’s concept and sharing glimpses of his personal life. His reflective captions and messages encouraged viewers to make the most of each day and pursue their passions, challenging the notion that the music genre is declining.

Overall, Drake’s “FOMO” film captivated audiences with its visual storytelling, celebrity cameos, and fresh music offerings, leaving fans eagerly anticipating his upcoming projects and world tour.
