Aldi has partnered with a designer to introduce a new “iconic” bag priced at £9.99 across all UK stores. The popular supermarket chain announced the upcoming release of the “must-have” accessory on Friday, October 17.

Available in Aldi’s distinctive colors of navy, orange, red, and white, the “universal” bag will be a limited-edition item set to hit shelves on October 23, exclusively for loyal Aldi enthusiasts. With over 1,000 outlets stocking the bags, the Specialbuy is expected to sell out rapidly.

Fashioned by renowned designer Anya Hindmarch, the Aldi Universal Bag is crafted from 100% recycled plastic and holds full certification under the Global Recycling Scheme (GRS). Engineered for durability to withstand the weekly shopping routine, the bag includes a convenient freepost returns pocket integrated within for added practicality.

Once the bag reaches the end of its lifespan, customers can neatly fold it into its designated pocket, which doubles as a pre-addressed envelope for local recycling. Aldi emphasized that the combination of quality, affordability, and accessibility makes the bag a vital shopping companion. Julie Ashfield, Aldi UK’s chief commercial officer, expressed excitement about the collaboration with Anya Hindmarch for the launch of the innovative Universal Bag, praising its eco-friendly and sturdy design tailored for shoppers’ needs.
