Ariana Grande has once again criticized President Donald Trump’s administration for featuring her music in a social media post. The Team Trump account used her song “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait For Your Love)” in a TikTok video that tagged Grande. The video showed President Trump approaching a podium to speak, with text referencing Grande’s 2024 hit track. Grande responded in the comments, demanding that her music not be used and dismissing the administration’s statement as false.
This incident follows Grande’s previous objection in mid-June when her song “Bye” was used in a TikTok video about immigration policy. Various artists, including Taylor Swift and ABBA, have also expressed objections to their music being used by the Trump team in the past. Despite the availability of licensing packages for music use, artists can opt out for specific reasons and still voice their objections.
