The ongoing Season 1 of Call of Duty Black Ops 7 is reaching its midpoint, signaling the upcoming launch of Season 1 Reloaded. This update will introduce new maps and weapons, creating anticipation among players for the latest content.
Scheduled for Thursday, January 8, the Season 1 Reloaded update for Black Ops 7 is expected to go live around 5 PM GMT, following the usual timing of Call of Duty updates. Unfortunately, preloading the update is not an option, so players will have to download the data before accessing the new features. The update size is reported to be up to 174GB, varying based on the number of Call of Duty titles installed.
Activision is introducing three new maps in Season 1 Reloaded, all of which support 6v6 gameplay. One of the maps, Yakei, can also be played in 2v2 modes. Additionally, a familiar map from Black Ops 3, Fringe, will make a return in this update.
A fresh game mode called Takeover will debut in Season 1 Reloaded, combining elements of Domination and Hardpoint with dynamic objective points. The update will also bring two new weapons that players can unlock through seasonal event challenges.
Moreover, three new weapon attachments will be included, obtainable by completing weekly challenges. The Endgame mode will enhance the Campaign’s replayability with new world events introduced in Season 1 Reloaded.
Zombies enthusiasts can look forward to the Directed Mode in Astra Malorum and the Zarya Cosmodrome Survival map in this update. Furthermore, a crossover event with the Fallout TV series is on the horizon, featuring character models for Lucy, The Ghoul, and Maximus, likely to be available in the in-game store post the Season 1 Reloaded launch on January 8, 2026.
