EE has announced the launch of new SIM plans aimed at addressing a common issue faced by many customers – running out of data while on the go due to increased file downloads and streaming activities, such as watching Netflix.
The latest pay-as-you-go SIMs from EE will feature a complimentary upgrade called “Data Parachute.” This feature automatically grants users 1GB of extra data in case they unexpectedly exhaust their data allowance.
According to EE, the “Data Parachute” is designed to help customers stay connected by providing a temporary data boost for essential activities like communication with friends and family or using navigation apps until they can refill their data balance.
Starting at £10 per month, these new plans offer various benefits, including data rollover, which carries over any unused data to the next month, and free data boosts that increase customers’ data allowances.
In addition, EE pay-as-you-go customers will have access to the 5G network, delivering enhanced performance and faster internet speeds.
The pricing for the new plans is as follows:
– £10 for 20GB
– £15 for 75GB
– £20 for 150GB
– £30 for 200GB
– £35 for Unlimited data
While EE’s Data Parachute sets these plans apart, other providers like SMARTY and Giffgaff offer competitive deals without a similar feature. For instance, SMARTY provides 80GB for £8 per month or Unlimited data for £20, while Giffgaff offers 75GB for £10 and 60GB for £13.
