“Party Girl’s Ketamine Addiction Leads to Nose Collapse”

-

A woman known for her party lifestyle suffered severe damage to her nose due to her addiction to ketamine but continued using the drug daily for two years. Nicole Chanelle, hailing from West Yorkshire, admitted to indulging in drugs like cocaine for over a decade and a half, starting at the young age of 14. Despite an initial negative experience with ketamine at a party, she later embraced the substance, gradually increasing her intake to four grams per day, costing her £149 monthly due to bulk purchases.

After a year of sustained ketamine use, Nicole experienced nasal blockage, leading to the collapse of a significant portion of her nose. Despite this alarming development, she persisted in her drug habit for another two years. A photograph captured the severe damage inside her nose, prompting a friend to recommend a rehab facility in India, where she sought treatment, feeling the necessity to distance herself from the drug’s availability in the UK.

Presently three months sober, Nicole underwent reconstructive surgery in Turkey to repair the external damage to her nose. Reflecting on her journey, she disclosed how her addiction escalated rapidly after she turned to ketamine, using it daily as a coping mechanism. She acknowledged the addictive nature of the drug and the challenges of breaking free from its grip, ultimately seeking help after a distressing incident at home prompted her decision to enter rehab overseas.

Nicole considers herself fortunate to have avoided serious bladder issues, a common consequence of prolonged ketamine use. The drug’s negative impact on her mental health, coupled with physical symptoms like stomach cramps, further motivated her to share her story publicly, urging others struggling with addiction to seek assistance. She emphasized the importance of reaching out for support, breaking the silence, and staying accountable on the path to recovery.

Expressing gratitude for the positive changes in her life post-surgery, Nicole remains determined to stay sober, recognizing the destructive potential of relapsing. She encourages individuals facing similar challenges to seek help proactively, emphasizing the critical role of readiness and support in overcoming addiction.
