Sony has officially revealed the PS Plus games lineup for January 2026, which will include Need for Speed Unbound, Disney Epic Mickey: Rebrushed, and Core Keeper starting on January 6, 2026. These new additions will replace LEGO Horizon Adventures, Killing Floor 3, and The Outlast Trials.
As the year 2025 comes to an end, Sony has made changes to the PS Plus service, announcing that PS4-only games will no longer be offered as more players transition to the PS5. Dealabs Magazine has leaked that Need for Speed Unbound will be the first PS5 game for PlayStation Plus in 2026, available for download on January 6 for Essential, Extra, and Premium subscribers.
The full lineup of PS Plus Essentials for January will be officially disclosed by Sony on December 31 at 4:30 pm GMT UK time. Need for Speed Unbound, developed by Criterion Games and published by EA, is a popular addition to the lineup, known for its street-art style and engaging gameplay involving street races, challenges, and police encounters to qualify for The Grand race.
With a Metacritic score of 77%, the game has been well-received for its unique visual effects and immersive street culture experience. Although not the most anticipated game, Need for Speed Unbound offers an exciting addition to the PlayStation Plus library.
