“Uncle of Murdered Danielle Jones May Be Released Without Revealing Body Location”

-

Stuart Campbell, the uncle responsible for the death of Danielle Jones, may potentially be released in early 2026 without disclosing the location of her body. Campbell, a convicted murderer, was sentenced to life in 2002 for the killing of the 15-year-old girl, with a minimum term of 20 years. Despite extensive search efforts, Danielle’s remains have not been found. The Parole Board has announced a hearing scheduled for January 16, 2026, to review Campbell’s case.

Danielle was last sighted on June 18, 2001, as she headed to a bus stop near her residence in East Tilbury, Essex. Campbell, who was married to Danielle’s aunt, abducted her by forcing her into a blue Transit van. Linda, Danielle’s mother, has urged for Campbell to stay imprisoned until he discloses the whereabouts of her daughter. She expressed the ongoing emotional turmoil and devastation experienced by the family since Danielle’s disappearance.

The upcoming parole hearing will determine whether Campbell should be released or transferred to a low-security facility. Campbell, now 67 years old, maintains his innocence despite being denied parole twice before. Danielle’s parents, Tony and Linda, have repeatedly implored Campbell to reveal the location of their daughter’s remains to provide closure for their family.

The case falls under the purview of the Parole Board following the implementation of Helen’s Law, which emphasizes the consideration of non-disclosure in parole decisions. Campbell’s brother, Alix Sharkey, has also urged him to show remorse and disclose the information regarding Danielle’s body, emphasizing the profound suffering endured by the family.
