Newly released emails have shed light on the connection between convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and former Prince Andrew, with the royal’s biographer labeling them as the conclusive evidence. Following his association with Epstein, Prince Andrew was stripped of his royal titles and honors by King Charles, with Buckingham Palace emphasizing support for abuse survivors.
Prince Andrew, also known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, has agreed to relinquish his long-term residence at Royal Lodge after it was disclosed that he had been paying a nominal rent to the Crown Estate for over two decades. The mansion, comprising 30 rooms, drew public outrage as allegations of sexual assault made by Andrew’s accuser, Virginia Giuffre, resurfaced prior to the release of her memoir. Prince Andrew has consistently denied all accusations against him.
Reports suggest that Prince Andrew has been offered a luxurious residence in Abu Dhabi if he opts to depart from the UK, similar to the path taken by disgraced royal King Juan Carlos I of Spain. Currently, he is expected to move to a property on King Charles’s expansive private estate in Norfolk, Sandringham.
Andrew Lownie, the author of a revealing biography on Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, stated that the latest Epstein emails expose the falsehoods Andrew has conveyed regarding his relationship with Epstein. Despite claiming to have severed ties with Epstein in 2010, emails demonstrate ongoing communication between the two individuals. Additionally, an email from Epstein confirms Andrew’s photo with accuser Virginia Giuffre.
A well-known image featuring Giuffre, Andrew, and Ghislaine Maxwell has circulated for years, although Andrew disputes its authenticity and asserts no recollection of the photo being taken. Epstein reportedly mentioned in an email to a journalist in July 2011 that Giuffre had her photo taken with Andrew, among others.
The biographer emphasized that the recent revelations are damning for Prince Andrew, underscoring his deep involvement with Epstein. He suggested that Andrew should be investigated as a flight risk, and his passport should be surrendered to prevent potential legal charges. Sources claim that an offer of a new residence in Abu Dhabi has been extended to Andrew by Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Buckingham Palace has been approached for a response.
