“Duchess Kate Reveals Prince Louis’ Unique Hobby”

-

The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, shared a fun fact about her son during a visit to Windsor with US First Lady Melania Trump. Instead of typical toys, Prince Louis, aged 7, has developed a hobby of collecting conkers, which Kate humorously mentioned can be found scattered throughout their residence.

Kate’s revelation occurred as she hosted a group of Squirrel Scouts alongside Melania, engaging the children in outdoor activities to earn Go Wild badges. The two women interacted warmly with the young scouts, with Melania holding one girl on her lap and Kate walking hand-in-hand with another.

During the event at Frogmore House gardens, Kate conversed with Chief Scout Dwayne Fields about her son’s love for conkers, mentioning the amusing discovery of them in unexpected places like cupboards and even in Louis’ bed. She shared that Louis enjoys incorporating the conkers into his toy trucks for playtime.

The charm of collecting conkers lies in their versatility for games, crafts, and nature exploration, appealing to children with their shiny appearance and the excitement of gathering them in autumn.

The gathering took place following a grand state banquet at Windsor Castle for US President Donald Trump, marking his second state visit to the UK. Kate treated the children from Lewisham to oat and cranberry biscuits made with honey from her beehives at Anmer Hall.

Melania presented each child with a jar of White House honey, adding to the jovial atmosphere of the day. Chief Scout Dwayne Fields praised Kate’s involvement, emphasizing the positive impact of her support on the scouting community.

Engaging with the children as they built a bug hotel, Kate expressed her fondness for bees and sparked curiosity about their habits, encouraging the young participants to think about creating a welcoming space for the insects.

The children enjoyed packed lunches prepared by Kate, featuring a selection of sandwiches, fruits, and raw vegetables. The event showcased the Duchess’s dedication to fostering a love for nature and outdoor activities among children.
