The Duchess of Sussex, aged 44, commended 15-year-old Avery Colvert, the founder of Altadena Girls, a group dedicated to aiding teenage girls affected by the January wildfires in southern California. Meghan and Prince Harry, 41, have been avid supporters of the organization since its inception.
Having volunteered for Altadena Girls this year, Meghan lauded Avery Colvert, stating, “You never anticipated the scale your work would achieve. Even if it had remained small, it would still have been impactful. If our daughter demonstrates qualities like yours, I will be immensely proud.”
In January, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made contributions to Altadena Teen Girls Fire Recovery through their Archwell Foundation. The raging wildfires forced over 30,000 individuals to evacuate their homes in California. Subsequently, Avery Colvert and companions created the charity, capturing Meghan’s attention. In an interview with Town and Country magazine, Meghan highlighted the organization and shared insights into her family life.
While Meghan and Harry typically maintain privacy regarding their children, Lilibet, four, and Archie, six, the couple’s occasional mentions in mainstream media draw public interest. Meghan expressed her joy at the thought of her daughter following in Avery Colvert’s altruistic footsteps.
Footage shared on Instagram showcased Meghan, Prince Harry, and their children visiting Lane Farms in Santa Barbara, followed by carving Halloween decorations at home. Despite usually concealing her children’s faces in photos, Meghan’s recent video provided a glimpse of their features as they enjoyed the festive activities.
Although slightly blurry, the images marked the first public reveal of Lilibet’s face since 2022 when an official birthday portrait was released. Lilibet was seen in a pale blue dress with a white bow in her hair during her birthday celebration.
To commemorate Lilibet’s fourth birthday in June, a black and white photo was shared, showing Meghan cuddling Lilibet with windswept hair. This affectionate moment offered a partial view of Lilibet’s face, delighting fans.
