Prince William offered words of encouragement to students at Southport schools where three young girls tragically lost their lives. The Prince and Duchess of Wales visited the educational institutions attended by Bebe King, Elsie Dot Stancombe, and Alice Da Silva Aguiar.

Their visit included a stop at Churchtown Primary School, where a new playground, dedicated to Alice and Bebe, was inaugurated with contributions from the royal couple. The playground symbolizes the unity and resilience of the community in the face of tragedy.

During a speech at the school, Prince William acknowledged the profound impact of the past events and commended the community for their unity and support. He emphasized the importance of remembrance, resilience, and love prevailing over adversity.

Addressing the parents of the deceased girls directly, Prince William praised their strength and grace in coping with the loss and creating enduring legacies for their daughters. The couple also engaged with students, appreciating their poignant artwork expressing emotions and memories of their friends.

At another school, Farnborough Road Infant and Junior School, the royal couple received a warm welcome from enthusiastic children. School officials expressed gratitude for the support received during a challenging period following the attack.

After spending time with the students and staff, William and Kate met with the families of the girls in private. The emotional meeting included a touching gesture from Bebe’s mother, who presented the couple with handmade friendship bracelets bearing her daughter’s name.

This visit marked the second time the royal couple visited Southport since the tragic incident. Their compassion and solidarity with the affected families were evident as they reflected on the impact of the tragedy on the community.
