Arike Ogunbowale also starred for Dallas with 21 points, setting season highs in free throws and attempts, converting 13 of 14 from the line. Alanna Smith recorded a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds, while Awak Kuier added 14 points to the winning effort.
Despite missing key players like All-Star Jessica Shepard and top draft pick Azzi Fudd due to injuries, Dallas found success on the court. Marina Mabrey led the Tempo’s comeback attempt in the fourth quarter, scoring 14 of her 23 points as Toronto closed the gap to within three points after trailing by 18.
