The couple relocated from the US following Donald Trump’s election victory, joining other celebrities like Cardi B, Lili Reinhart, and Christina Applegate in expressing dissatisfaction with Trump supporters.
The Instagram images reveal the couple’s cozy living space, featuring an open-plan design connecting the kitchen, dining area, and living room. Floor-to-ceiling windows provide a scenic view of the lush green backyard. Ellen and Portia, who tied the knot in 2008, have made renovations to the house, incorporating a neutral color scheme and understated decor with elegant furnishings.
In contrast to Donald Trump’s extravagant style, Ellen showcased a more minimalist approach. The couple’s dogs, Sport and Kid, playfully interact in the footage, alongside other animals on the estate such as horses, chickens, and sheep. Ellen emphasized the importance of having a horse facility and pastures for Portia’s beloved horses while speaking about their decision to live in the Cotswolds full-time.
