In a statement by his brother, Greg Struzan, it was conveyed that Drew Struzan had peacefully departed from this world on October 13th. His brother expressed how Drew took great joy in knowing the appreciation his art received from fans.
His family disclosed that Drew Struzan succumbed to Alzheimer’s Disease after creating iconic posters for major film franchises and beloved movies such as Star Wars, Back to the Future, Harry Potter, The Empire Strikes Back, The Goonies, The Shawshank Redemption, and The Thing.
Following the somber announcement, industry stalwarts like George Lucas, Steven Spielberg, and Guillermo Del Toro paid tribute to their late colleague.
