Pierce Brosnan and his son have rekindled their relationship after two decades of intermittent communication. The Hollywood actor had reportedly distanced himself from Chris, 53, back in 2005 due to Chris’s struggle with drug addiction. However, recent exclusive photos depict the James Bond star, 72, and his filmmaker son enjoying a meal together at a fashionable bistro in London’s Notting Hill.
Sources close to the family have indicated that the father-son duo has reconciled. A friend of Pierce mentioned, “They appear to be quite close now. Chris has been diligently working on his sobriety and has reconnected with his father, much to everyone’s delight.”
Recent interactions suggest that Pierce has been spending significant time with Chris, particularly as the seasoned actor is currently engaged in filming a new crime drama series called MobLand in London, which revolves around a family in the city. Chris is said to reside in London as well.
The pair has endured tragic losses over the years, with Chris’s mother, Cassandra Harris, Pierce’s first wife, passing away in 1991 from ovarian cancer at the age of 43. This was followed by the death of Chris’s sister, Charlotte, from the same cancer in 2013 at the age of 41. Despite these shared tragedies, Pierce had distanced himself from Chris due to his addiction issues, with reports suggesting that Pierce had urged Chris to address his situation.
Chris is believed to have undergone rehabilitation, while Pierce has been publicly addressing their strained relationship over the years. Recent sightings of the father and son together in Notting Hill indicate a significant improvement in their bond, with witnesses noting their apparent happiness and relaxation during the outing with Pierce’s other son, Dylan. The reunion has been viewed as a positive step forward for the duo, showcasing a newfound harmony in their relationship.
