-

Horrified parents shielded their children’s eyes as a tragic incident unfolded at a circus in Bautzen, east Germany. The audience witnessed the heartbreaking fall of 27-year-old circus acrobat Marina B during a trapeze stunt performance.

Amidst screams of shock and disbelief, emergency responders rushed to the scene, but unfortunately, Marina succumbed to her injuries on-site. Ralf Huppertz, the head of the Association of German Circus Companies, expressed deep sorrow over the incident, emphasizing the psychological impact on spectators, especially children.

Speculations arose regarding Marina’s unexpected fall from a height of just five meters, with suggestions that she may have experienced dizziness during the act. Trained crisis intervention experts were promptly deployed to assist distressed individuals at the circus.

Reports revealed that Marina was not using a safety rope at the time of the accident, highlighting the responsibility artists bear for their own safety. Despite the risks involved in acrobatic performances, artists like Marina are well aware of the dangers they face.

The circus management announced a temporary closure following the tragedy, expressing condolences for the loss. Marina, a passionate performer from Mallorca, embraced her profession wholeheartedly, as evidenced by her final Instagram post showcasing her love for aerial arts.

While the Paul Busch Circus has yet to issue an official statement, Mayor Karten Vogt conveyed heartfelt sympathies to the affected families and the community, acknowledging the profound impact of the unfortunate event.
