“Manhattan Aero 4K Set-Top Box: TV Streaming Without Subscriptions”

-

Homes looking to enjoy television content without ongoing subscription fees now have a wider array of choices. Initially introduced in 2024, Freely offered access to live channels through an internet connection, primarily on select new TV models. However, in the last 18 months, the availability of Freely has expanded, with manufacturers like Hisense, Toshiba, and Sharp incorporating the service into their screens. Previously, individuals interested in accessing live and on-demand content through Freely had to purchase a new television from a tech retailer.

Fortunately, the technology team at Manhattan recently revealed a new solution – the Freely-powered set-top box named Aero 4K. This device grants immediate access to over 60 live channels and on-demand content, all without requiring a costly subscription.

The Aero 4K offers additional features such as voice search, personalized recommendations, a comprehensive TV guide, and the ability to pause live programming. Users who have subscriptions to platforms like Disney+ and Netflix can also access these apps through the box.

Priced at £69.99, the Aero 4K has gained significant popularity. Currys became the first UK store to offer the Manhattan Aero 4K, and the latest reports indicate that it is already sold out. The retailer confirmed that the device quickly ran out of stock but will be replenished soon.

Interested consumers can sign up on the Currys website to receive notifications when the Aero 4K is available again. Other retailers, including Amazon and John Lewis, are expected to start selling the device in the near future.

Upon restocking, the Aero 4K will compete with devices like Virgin’s Stream box and Sky Stream, all of which eliminate the need for traditional aerials or dishes by delivering content through the internet.

Transitioning to streaming services offers advantages like simplified installation processes without requiring professional assistance and more frequent software updates.

With Freely reporting over a million users and a growing trend of viewers shifting to streaming services, the television landscape is evolving rapidly.
