Sky has unveiled an exciting new update that is set to make waves. The television provider is rolling out a compelling subscription package that combines some of the most popular streaming services worldwide at a reduced monthly rate. Priced at just £24 per month, both new and existing customers will soon have access to Disney+, Netflix, Hayu, and the highly anticipated HBO Max app, scheduled for launch next month.
With this bundle, Sky emphasizes the exceptional value it offers, providing approximately £20 worth of streaming apps for a significantly lower cost. Considering Sky’s current basic plan is priced at £15 per month, customers can access the additional content for just an extra £9.
Moreover, subscribers to the Ultimate TV plan will enjoy access to over 130 channels, including Sky Comedy, Sky Documentaries, Sky Crime, Sky History, and more.
In an added bonus, Sky Cinema users will gain a dedicated Disney movie channel directly integrated into their planner, enabling them to watch Disney blockbusters without needing to open the Disney+ app.
Existing Disney+ subscribers who sign up through Sky can seamlessly transfer their current plan, whether Standard or Premium, while retaining their profiles and viewing history.
Sky has confirmed that all supported apps will be conveniently accessible from the homepage, offering fully integrated content. Users can easily find shows and films through voice search and save them to a Playlist for later viewing.
The all-new Sky Ultimate plan will be available across Sky Glass, Sky Stream, and Sky Q platforms.
Sophia Ahmad, Sky’s Chief Consumer Officer, described the update as a “new era” for Sky and NOW, uniting Sky, Netflix, Disney+, HBO Max, and Hayu under a single subscription. She highlighted the integrated viewing experience and unbeatable value for customers, noting that HBO Max is included at no extra charge for NOW Entertainment customers.
Sky’s move underscores its commitment to innovation, simplifying the process for viewers to enjoy premium entertainment in one convenient location.
Included in the update are:
– Netflix Standard with Ads
– Disney+ Standard with Ads (effective from March, date TBD)
– HBO Max Basic with Ads (launching in the UK & Ireland on 26th March)
– Hayu (from July, with select top shows available from March)
– PLUS: Over 130 channels from Sky
