A man who had previously suffered three heart attacks was brutally assaulted in a Morrison’s parking lot during his routine health walk. Chris Mcnamara recounted being kicked in the face by an aggressive individual, likened to Bruce Lee, while he was checking his bank balance outside the supermarket on Walpole Road in Gosport, Hampshire. The assailant, dressed in dark clothing and sandals, initially engaged in a verbal exchange with Chris before escalating the situation by physically attacking him with karate-style kicks to the face.
Following the incident, Chris contacted Hampshire Police, who promptly took him to Gosport War Memorial Hospital for medical evaluation and treatment. Despite being discharged later, Chris expressed profound fear for his safety and has cooperated with the police investigation into the assault.
Describing the attacker as tall, slim, with a shaven head and wearing dark clothing and flip flops, Chris detailed how the assailant continued to assault him even after he sought help. As a result, Chris sustained further injuries to his face and internal rib pain, prompting him to seek refuge at a nearby store while awaiting emergency services.
Chris’s sister, Sarah Armitage, expressed shock and anger upon seeing his injuries, emphasizing that the attack was unprovoked and unjustifiable. She condemned the perpetrator’s actions and called for justice to be served for the harm inflicted on her brother.
Hampshire Police have confirmed an ongoing investigation into the assault, seeking witnesses to provide information about the incident. A police statement described the suspect as a white male in his 20s, tall, with a shaved head, wearing a navy-blue t-shirt, black shorts, and blue sandals with socks. Witnesses or anyone with relevant information are urged to contact the authorities to assist with the investigation.
