“Holiday Shopping Alert: Christmas Delivery Slots Open Early”

-

As the holiday season approaches, thoughts of Christmas shopping may start to emerge. Despite Halloween and Bonfire Night still being ahead, various retailers have already opened up their festive delivery slot bookings. This allows shoppers to secure all the necessary items well before December 25.

Major supermarkets like Sainsbury’s, ASDA, and Morrisons have released their Christmas ranges, featuring a wide array of products ranging from traditional favorites such as turkey and mince pies to exclusive treats perfect for sharing with family and friends.

With only 64 days left until Christmas, an overview of three key supermarkets’ Christmas delivery services, festive offerings, and ordering deadlines has been provided by the Mirror. Booking deadlines usually fall a few days before December 25, emphasizing the importance of planning ahead to avoid missing out.

While Sainsbury’s delivery pass holders could secure Christmas slots starting October 16, the general public can do so from October 23. Deliveries for both groups are scheduled between December 18 and 24, with the option to make order amendments until 11pm the night before delivery.

ASDA, on the other hand, opened its Christmas delivery bookings for passholders from October 15 and for others from October 21. Deliveries are set to take place between December 21 and 23. The deadline to add Food to Order products to an order and check out is December 15, with the option to add groceries until 11pm the day before delivery.

ASDA’s online guidance suggests pre-ordering festive centrepieces for a hassle-free festive food shopping experience. The range includes over 500 products, encompassing traditional holiday favorites and new additions like ‘Gingerbread Man-shaped Belgian Chocolate Mousse’ and ‘Exceptional Hot Maple Pigs in Blanket’.

Morrisons, which made its delivery slots available to passholders from October 1 and to all customers from October 8, offers a variety of classic and new festive food items, such as ‘The Best Spiced Rum and Ginger Tarts’ and vegan ‘Maple Roast Chestnut, Cranberry, and Orange Stuffing Balls’.
