Music icon Todd Snider was captured on police body cam during his arrest outside a medical facility before his tragic passing. The 59-year-old had to call off upcoming tour engagements due to severe injuries sustained during an alleged “violent attack” outside his lodging. Reports suggest he may have been dealing with an undiagnosed case of pneumonia.
The renowned artist, known for his extensive discography of 14 studio albums, was documented informing law enforcement recently: “I lead a band, I’m well-known – they abandoned me” while pleading to be readmitted to Holy Cross Hospital in Salt Lake City after being placed in handcuffs.
It is believed that the star visited the hospital after reporting an assault outside his accommodation but declined to leave once discharged. At one point, an officer questioned him: “Why did you return after being told not to come back?” to which he replied he didn’t recall that instruction, explaining: “I walked as far as I could, and I was in excruciating pain.”
Later, he insisted that he still required medical attention, imploring one of the officers, “Can I please go back to the hospital? Sir, I am unwell.” His demise was disclosed a few days subsequent to the incident.
Todd’s musical style encompassed various genres including country, folk, rock, blues, and funk. He amassed a total of 14 studio albums, with hit tracks such as “Alright Guy” and “Talking Reality Television Blues,” the latter covered by Sir Tom Jones.
