In a lengthy virtual meeting, the board passed a resolution to include Trump’s name on the façade, rebranding the institution as “The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts Restored and Renovated By President Donald J. Trump.” Additionally, it was proposed to dedicate the plaza in front of the building to Trump and close a significant portion of the venue for a two-year period to facilitate substantial renovations.
