Meghan Markle reveals struggles of separation from children

-

Meghan Markle has revealed that she faced challenges and felt unwell during a period of separation from her children, Archie and Lilibet. This disclosure came to light in the latest season of her Netflix show, With Love, Meghan. While the exact timing of this separation was not specified, it is believed to have occurred after Queen Elizabeth’s passing in 2022, prompting the Sussexes to remain in the UK unexpectedly.

The show, which received a mix of reviews, featured notable personalities such as Chrissy Teigen, Tan France, David Chang, Samin Nosrat, Christina Tosi, and Clare Smyth. In a candid moment with Tan France, Meghan shared her struggles of being away from her children for an extended period, expressing how challenging it was for her.

Prince Harry also touched upon these difficult times in his memoir, Spare, recounting the emotional toll of being separated from their children during that period. The Sussexes entrusted Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, with the care of their children in LA while they attended various events, including a One World Summit in Manchester, an Invictus event in Dusseldorf, and a visit to London.

Their stay in the UK was prolonged due to the passing of Harry’s grandmother in September 2022. Despite the ongoing tensions within the royal family, Harry and his brother, Prince William, made public appearances together, including attending the funeral and committal service. While Harry has made solo visits to the UK since then, Meghan has not returned.

Recently, Meghan compared herself and Harry to former US President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama during an event in Washington DC. She discussed their new deal with Netflix, highlighting the flexibility and opportunities it provides for their content creation.
