“New ‘Adam’s Law’ Series Set to Fill Judge Judy’s Shoes”

A fresh face has entered the realm of TV judges, and he’s got big shoes to fill. CBS Media Ventures unveiled a preview for “Adam’s Law,” a new daytime courtroom series featuring Adam Levy, the son of the renowned Judge Judy. Fans of Judge Judy’s trademark sharpness and no-nonsense demeanor will likely appreciate Levy’s similar approach, as showcased in the trailer.

Initially hesitant to pass on the judicial torch, Judge Judy, formally known as Judith Sheindlin, revealed in the trailer that she wasn’t keen on her son taking on the show years ago. She humorously admits that she wasn’t ready to relinquish her position, adding, “I think he has the talent to beat me — and I don’t like the idea of that.”

Scheduled to debut on September 14, the new series, with Sheindlin as an executive producer, follows the conclusion of the original “Judge Judy” show after an immensely successful 25-season run. Levy, with over 25 years of legal experience, including stints as a district attorney and legal educator, emphasizes the importance of truthfulness on “Adam’s Law.”

Sheindlin expressed confidence in her son’s abilities, believing that his show will rise to the top of daytime television. With Levy’s expertise and engaging personality, Sheindlin foresees viewers embracing him as they did her over the past three decades. The show will air on various CBS stations in the U.S., including CBS LA and WCBS-TV, as well as in Canada on Citytv and Citytv+ starting September 14.
