Some Sky customers are facing a frustrating issue with the popular ITVX app. The problem started recently, with users reporting that their viewing experience is being disrupted by a glitch that causes programs to skip to the end unexpectedly. This means that viewers are being taken from the middle of a show to the credits without any input from the fast-forward button on their remote.
On Sky’s forum page, a user named Dazzasky complained about the issue, stating that ITV Player is skipping ahead randomly, mostly to the end of the episode. Another user named Dawn also shared their experience of programs jumping to the end suddenly, usually at the start of a show or after an advertisement break.
The reported TV glitches seem to impact users with Sky’s online devices like Sky Stream boxes and Glass TVs. It is unclear if Sky Q is also affected, but most complaints are from users with broadband-powered devices rather than satellite dishes.
Despite the cause of the problems being unknown, a Sky representative named Kev has acknowledged the issues and assured users that the company is actively working on a solution. Kev mentioned in a forum post that the problem has been escalated to support teams, who will collaborate with ITV to resolve the issue. Updates on the progress will be provided as soon as more information is available.
Currently, users may have to endure the skipping problems, but a resolution is hopefully in the works. Mirror Online will continue to provide updates on this matter as new information emerges.
